Terms of Service For Google Sign-In via Auth0

1. INTRODUCTION

De Marque Inc., provides access to its services through Google Sign-In via Auth0 as an identity provider to authenticate your Google account securely. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our application, website, and services (collectively, the "Service") when authenticating through Google Sign-In via Auth0.

By accessing or using the Service through Google Sign-In via Auth0, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

 

2. DEFINITIONS

  • "Service" refers to our application, website, and related services.

  • "User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Service.

  • "Auth0" refers to the authentication and authorization platform provided by Auth0, Inc., a subsidiary of Okta, Inc.

  • "Google Sign-In" refers to the authentication method Google LLC provides that allows users to sign in using their Google credentials.

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND SECURITY

3.1 Account Creation

To use our Service, you may register by authenticating through Google Sign-In via Auth0. By choosing this authentication method, you authorize us to access certain information from your Google account as specified during the sign-in process.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials

  • All activities that occur under your account

  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section.

 

4. DATA COLLECTION AND PRIVACY

4.1 Information We Collect

When you authenticate using Google Sign-In via Auth0, we collect:

  • Your name

  • Email address

  • Profile picture

We do not access your Google account password or any other private data not explicitly granted through the authentication scope.

 

4.2 How We Use Your Information

​

This data is processed through Auth0 and is used solely for authentication and providing access to our services. We use the information collected through Google Sign-In via Auth0 to:

  • Create and maintain your account

  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized access

We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except as required to operate our service or as mandated by law.

4.3 Privacy Policy

Your use of Google Sign-In via Auth0 is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Your use of Google Sign-In is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Google's privacy practices or any other actions of Google.

5.2 Auth0

​

Our Service uses Auth0 as an authentication provider. Your use of Auth0 is subject to Auth0's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Auth0's privacy practices or any other actions of Auth0.

6. USER CONDUCT

​

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate applicable laws or regulations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or our systems

  • Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair the Service

  • Use any robot, spider, or other automated device to access the Service

  • Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service

7. TERMINATION

7.1 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

7.2 Termination by You

​

You can revoke our application's access to your Google account at any time through your Google account settings: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

7.3 Effect of Termination

​

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of the Terms that should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

8. MODIFICATIONS TO THE SERVICE

​

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICE AND GOOGLE SIGN-IN VIA AUTH0 AUTHENTICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

​

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR AUTHENTICATION THROUGH GOOGLE SIGN-IN VIA AUTH0.

11. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless our company, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable attorney's fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Use and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws in force in the Province of Quebec without reference to its conflict of law rules.

13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

​

Any action, suit or proceeding arising out of these Terms of Use (whether for breach of contract, wrongful conduct or otherwise) shall be brought exclusively in the Province of Quebec or the federal courts,  and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of such courts for any action, suit or proceeding arising out of these Terms of Use.

14. CHANGES TO TERMS

​

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
